First day overview Disney Magic summer2018

Tuesday Disney Magic Thoughts and overview.

Dinner was- let the Magic begin.

  • Not the black and white to colour AP show 

Dinner times 6 pm and 8.30 pm

Ship full- no availability on check in.

Lots of children. USA school holidays

VAT charged as in EU so add 20% to purchases.

The food was better, things like bruschetta improved.

Platinum gift as before:-

  • rucksack
  • Luggage tags
  • Choice, wine, fruit bowl
  • Chocolates.

Got the romance at sea package- very good value.

WiFi good and fast, the 50mb free offer went in two hours. As VAT added cost more for packages.

On demand TV in room is good, but small.

Smell of popcorn near WDT and cinema.

The times of incredibles2 seems illogical? 

  • late night or
  • Middle of a port day.

Heavy sales pitch on drinks and packages.

Stateroom host very nice a bit too talkative.

Our FB cruise meets- meet up well supported, nice people.

Smooth sailing so far.

Noted Magics age- vibrations, aft, lower decks.

Shops have 20/30% discounts on some Mediterranean items, like handbags.

Duck in diner, nice upgrade, more re hygiene rather than food sold.

Whilst seasoned cruiser and know many people on the ships, bar Andy in concierge haven’t recognised anyone so far.

Mickey premium Ice cream bar in cabanas at lunch! 

Check in at Barcelona fast , organised, but departing guests had a longer queue for taxis than seen before, maybe as later? 

Long queues for ice cream on deck 9, maybe as hot and first day. Banana was good! 

Larger chocolates with towel animals. Changed from before.

Ship left 4.20 after muster drill.

Found the talking by cruisers in muster drill, so loud, couldn’t hear announcements, the muster leader should have controlled.

Why no Twice Charmed? Tangled x2 and Dreamsx2.

Wasn’t asked re allergies at start of meal, sever didn’t ask, overheard others do it.

Food served slightly off hot, not cold, but not piping hot, gave feedback.

3 minutes after doors open in WDT for Tangled the theatre is 45% full.

Lanyards on sale, price 11.99 slight increase, but we get 10% off.
